What Does Discomfort On The Left Side Of The Chest Indicate?

Thank you! I have this feeling of burst or sensation on my left chest (heart area) that sometimes would come maybe once or twice a day. I om taking metropolol succinate prescribed by my doctor for six months now. Is this something that I should be concerned about?

Hello.

Being a hypertensive I should reccommend you monthly checkup of your bloodpressure to be on the safer side and once a year check up for your heart which involves an ECG and lipid profile.

Your complaints are suggestive of an angia, or pain of the heart. Kindly visit a doctor and get an ECG done at the earliest. By which time I would like you to take Sorbitrate tablet and keep it below your tongue, as it dissolves your pain should subside. IF it doesnt subside then mostly the pain is not cardiac or heart related. Anyway never ignore a chest pain. We have lost many who confused Angina with Acid reflux.
