What Does Dizziness Along With Elevated BP Indicate?

I keep hearing a swoosh swoosh in my head. It is like 2 beats of blood pressure then nothing. Then it happens again every few minutes. I just went to the doctors on Friday because I felt dizzy and it turned out my blood pressure was whacked. 161/96 then 170/101 then it went down to average at 138/83 hb 86 . The swoosh started last night. Even when after exercise my pressure is low 129/70 I m still hearing and feeling this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It seems you are having hypertension and the symptoms you are experiencing are because of High blood pressure. Since your blood pressure is fluctuating you need to get it monitored for a few days.

You also need a proper cardiac evaluation including an ECG to rule out any underlying cardiac problem. If you continue to have a high blood pressure you may have to put on antihypertensive.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nazma. Amman
