What Does Dry And Flaky Skin On The Forehead And Cheeks Indicate?
I have a skin condition but not sure what it is. My allergist once said it was like eczema but not eczema but I forget the term. I have dry, red, scaly (flaky) skin on my forehead but once had a spot of that on my upper cheek and I have dandruff. What are some possible conditions?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. By your description, possibility of eczematous dermatitis with fungal infection is more likely. Dandruff is suggestive of fungal infection. So consult dermatologist for this. You are will need antifungal (ketoconazole) shampoo. Steroid (mometasone) cream are best for eczematous dermatitis. Avoid dust and pollution. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated. Wash your face thoroughly 3-4 times a day. Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
