What Does Dry Mouth Along With Severe Fatigue Indicate?
Hello my name is Irene. I've been having dry mouth like if i have cotton or something in my mouth being going on for awhile now i drink lots of water but doesn't help. I also feel very tired and i sweat more than the normal and i feel that my chest feels not right but seems to start from my stomach up to my chest its almost if i can't catch my breath good.
Dry mouth along with severe fatigue can be due to a number of causes like severe dehydration, side effect of medications if you take any, severe stress and anxiety, high blood sugar levels or Diabetes etc..
So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room and get evaluated, a proper clinical examination can be done followed by investigations like blood sugar levels and CBC can be done. If there is problem catching breath then a chest x ray can be done followed by other investigations as per the suspected cause..
For now you can reduce dryness in mouth by chewing sugarfree chewing gums and suck lemon drops.. You can also use mouth lubricants like Oralgel. A drug known as Pilocarpine can be advised by a Physician. Eat a nutritious diet and take multivitamins to reduce fatigue.. Take sufficient rest..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
