The e coli found in sperm culture. After taking Ertapenem injections through IV fluids for 10 days, bacteria gone for a while and come again within 1 month. Now doctor says that this kibd of bacteria exist in the man from indian subcontinent and doesn t required any more antibiotics. So what should i do now?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. There are many bacteria which exist in genitourinary tract, which in small number does not harm by causing infection. Such organisms are called as normal commensal and one such organism is E. coli. If you are not symptomatic and other parameters during semen analysis is normal, then you need not worry about this report.
