What Does Echogenic Heart Beat Suggest?

Hi, my partner and are due to have our baby in a months time. she has just had her final scan and the midwife has said the the baby has a echogenic heart beat which i am looking to gain some insight into this? From my understanding the hearbeat had been echoing. Could you please give me some informtation on this please??

Thanks for writing to hcm.
Echogenic heart beat or focus in fetal heart during ultrasonography in a pregnant woman means a small bright spot seen in the babies heart.
It occurs rarely and is not of much concern and disappears by third trimester.
It is due to small deposition of calcium.

If there are no associated chromosomal abnormalities, no need to worry.
