What Does Endometrium Thickness Was 4.4mm In Ultrasound Result Indicate?

My mother is post - menopausal and is healthy. She has a family history of uterine cancer. Her mother died of the same when she was 62.Hence looking at the family history, we get her screening done in 2014, where everything was normal, except endometrium thickness was 4.4mm. Is it a cause of alarm? shall we get diagnostic tests done again ?Thanks

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Here first of all any specific complaint like vaginal bleeding, pain etc has to be ruled out if present..

Second here endometrial thickness increased not much as per report in 2014..

As positive family history present repeat Trans vaginal and pelvic USG....

If endometrial thickness much more this time and so If needed Dilatation and curretage can be done and send to histopathology examination for further work up

Take care

Hope your concern solved

Consult gynecologist for examination with keeping all this in mind
