What Does Excessive Bleeding And Cramps After Taking Misoprostol Indicate?
My doctor only gave my misoprostol to terminate my pregnancy will that work still he gave me 4 pills of 200mg and told me to insert them so far iv been bleeding a lot while peeing when using the bathroom but not on my pad so much and I m cramping I also had diarrhea that s about it
According to experience, bleeding and cramping after taking misoprostol for abortion can often happen and it continues so for a few days because that’s how the medication works. The bleeding slows down after a day, and light bleeding or spotting may continue for 2-3 weeks.
Loose stools can occur to after taking this medicine as it can irritate the gut, so i think you should not be worried about as it would soon resolve on its own. In the end I would definitely recommend you to visit your prescribing doctor if the bleeding gets too heavy with time instead of slowing down.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
