What Does Excessive Crying In An Infant Indicate?

I have a grandaughter who is 3 mos. old and from the second week after birth she has been screaming. Her doctor has given probiotic drops to put in her breast milk once /day. this has not shown any results In the past 2-3 weeks she has been spitting up chunks of her breast milk . She is screaming sometimes to the point of almost losing her breath. It is a deep painful scream. The walking and holding in many different ways has been tried. She has been in the carriage, in the car , in the snugglie, music, waterfalls you name we have tried it . I feel that my daughter should have the doctor see this baby more often. This screaming can not be good for her neuro system. What should we do ?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a pediatrician and get evaluated.

We have to rule out possibilities like intususception. An ultrasound scan is required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
