What Does Excessive Vaginal Discharge Indicate?

Hello, I have noticed that I have thick, white vaginal discharge. Similar to that of a yeast infection, but with no other symptoms of a yeast infection. I am being treated for bacterial vaginosis currently with Flagyl cream (unsure if the spelling is correct). I am wondering if this discharge might be from the medication, or if it is most likely a yeast infection?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thick white curd-like discharge from vagina suggestive of yeast candida infection. For that peripheral speculum examination should be done to look inside the vagina. If after examination looks like candida, then topical antifungal can be prescribed. Consult a gynecologist for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Parth Goswami
