What Does Extreme Nausea, Indigestion And Foul Smelling Loose Stool Indicate?
Hello my name is Pat. I am a 35year old female I have a question about digestion. I am guilty of eating a greezy baked chicken thigh Sunday around 9pm. That same night I could hardly sleep, My entire body got extreamly hot. After that I felt indegestion. All day on Monday I have had nausea and foul smelling loose stools. My question is I am having Lower Left Quandrant abdominal pain. The pain is a dull ache, not sharp. I wonder if I should be concerned about a bowel obstruction, or IBS. In my early 20s I had a diagnosis of colitis and the symptoms seem to be the same. Please respond Thank you
You are suffering from nausea, indigestion and foul smelling loose stools. You are also having pain in the lower abdomen. Your symptoms are indicative of indigestion, GERD and food allergy. You are suggested to take rest, for relieve you can take antacids or PPIs, one SOS for relief. Take anti emetics, one SOS to stop vomiting.
After vomiting and nausea stops, you can take sips of water, fluids and liquid food. You can also take semi solid food once you start feeling better. It will help you stabilize your BP and blood glucose. Since you have a past history of colitis, you should take a low-fiber, easy-to-digest diet. If you have chronic colitis, you should avoid foods that trigger your colitis flare-ups and incorporate foods or supplements like olive oil, avocados, nuts and oily fish that will give you adequate nutrition.
You should avoid highly inflammatory foods, especially fast and processed foods high in sugar and fat. In the meantime, get clinically examined by a GP to detect any liver problem or confirm colitis. You can take liver tonics and digestives to feel better.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
