What Does Finding Is Reveal Bilateral Medical Renal Disease Indicate?
Helo Dr, am 49 year n my weight is 65. Am suffering from diabetes with hypertension since 9 years. Two days ago I did an ultrasound n result is : Right kidney is 8.6n left kidney 9.2 and shows increased in cortico ecogenicity with partially loss of cortico medullary differentiation. At the last, finding is reveal bilateral medical renal disease. what is meaning of medical renal disease? Is it dangerous stage and what are the preventive method? Thank you!
Your kidneys might be showing mild signs of abnormal function. This is seen as increased echogenicity. You must get your serum creratinine test done. It is best you consult a nephrologist (kidney specialist) and take an opinion if not taken already. My suggestion is to follow up with your doctors and take treatment for like high blood pressure or diabetes. You must also start taking a renal diet which is recommended for those having slightly abnormal kidney functions. You may get your ultrasound repeated after 3 to 6 months.
