Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have some kind of fluid under my scalp when heat is applied it seems to almost feels like a powder making my scalp hard. It started out being folliculitus at least that was what my np diagnosed. Had been doing a lot of meth during that time. I quit to see if it would dry up but it did not. I have scalp sores now from trying to relieve the pressure of the fluid. My husband can t see anything on my scalp but I feel it. I ve been using aloe Vera on it and it will release the fluid my hair becomes saturated with something. I also have a lot of new growth coming in. I was shedding a lot when I began using meth like I said I quit a couple weeks ago but am still having these symptoms. I ve been putting off going back to the np because I m afraid she will know what I ve been doing. My bff is a nurse at a derm office she said it sounds like pickers nodules but we live in different states so she can t see it. What could be causing this and can it be treated at home?

What Does Fluid Under The Scalp Indicate?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. * As per my clinical knowledge, the condition sounds bacterial, fungal infection of the scalp or else giving fluid discharge. * I strongly recommend a dermatologist check up rather than opting for home remedies. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
