Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi Sir, I have nose blocking problem, Below are the CT - PNS (Coronal) Report Details, Please explain what is exact problem and is it need operation ?, (I am using Nasivion 0.05% daily 3-4 times) Report Details 1. Mild DNS towards left noted. 2. Mucasal thickening noted at right frontal, right ethmoidal and bilateral maxillary sinuses. S/O right frontal, right ethmoidal and bilateral maxillary sinusitis 3. Blockage of right frontal and right ethmoidal recesses noted. 4. Hypertrophy of inferior and middle turbinates on right noted.
The Ct scan shows the presence of deviated nasal septum (DNS). DNS is the deviation of the partition between two nasal cavities.
Deviation of the nasal septum can cause sinusitis and hypertrophy of the nasal turbinates. There is evidence of inflammation of the mucosa of frontal, ethmoidal and maxillary sinuses.
DNS causes structural changes in the drainage of nasal secretions in the nasal cavity. Correction of DNS can lead to relief from sinusitis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
