Hi there,
I am Dr. Deepak, I work in Emergency Department, where I see many patients with
injury to their head. As you mentioned you had injured your head and below your right eye 15 days back. While turning from the right side. You went to a doctor. Now you are still feeling dizzy, which is more when you are getting up from the bed.
First thing I would like you to do is to get your Blood pressure checked up, both lying and standing. If there is more then 20 mmHg variation in your blood pressure then you have something called
Orthostatic hypotension. You can show to cardiologist for that.
If you blood pressure is okay then...
As you mentioned you have this feeling while getting up from bed only, mostly it look like ear problem. Are you having any
cough, cold or running nose? It can lead to ear block and cause similar problem. If not do you any problem with ear, like reduced hearing, ringing sound in any of the ear? If not then there is possiblities that one of your
ear canal was damaged due to fall. There are small stone in ear canal, which help us mantain balance, due to fall if any of these stone is moved out of its position then you can experience similar problems.
There is possibilities that you might have similar problem when you turn your head suddenly to one side. In my opinion you can
1. You can wait and watch if it comes down.
2. You can try few exercises like
Epley maneuver, and similar one which you can find the internet for the treatment of
vertigo.
3. If it still persists then you can show it to an
ENT specialist. Who can examine you and let you know what might be the problem.
Thank you
Hope your concern was dealt with and hope you have a speedy recovery
