What Does Green Vaginal Discharge During Periods Indicate?
just turned 41 - last 2 periods, during the last few days of my period, it hurt to take the tampon out, and it also had a green spot on it that did not smell normal. uasually my used tampons smell totally normal, kinda nice even though i don t use scented tampons ever (i inspect almost everything that comes out of my body). but this change has frightened me. i am totally monogamous as well as my guy of over a decade, but now i m concerned. what do you think? fissure? infection?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Possibility of vaginal infection is more likely. Tampons can itself cause infection and green vaginal discharge suggests infection more. So better to consult gynecologist and get done clinical examination and microscopic examination of discharge. You will need antibiotic suppositories. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated. Avoid moisture and perspiration in private parts. Avoid unprotected Intercourse for 1 month. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
