Hi thank you I m scared to death,I ve been watching my stools,which is like a dark grayish greenish MUCUS,I got it out of toilet into water bottle because I know I will need a sample. This has been happening for 4-6 months. My gallbladder is out of my body. I m sorry to sound vile,but I am scared.
Green color stools may be due to the eating of green leafy vegetables and food coloring agents with green. Other possibilities like Irritable bowel syndrome or liver or biliary problems. Infection with bacteria like Pseudomonas, or post cholera recovery may stool Color change. Unless examination, it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Take plenty of water and probiotics. Send stool for culture and microscopy. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
