What Does Growing Elongated Mucocele On Tongue Indicate?
My 6 year old daughter has what appears to be an elongated mucocele on the underside of the tongue. She states that it does not hurt her but it has gotten larger over the last few weeks. Could this be a sign of anything else and what do you advise we do?
thanks for your query, i have gone through your query, mucocoele or ranula in the floor of the mouth could be asymptomatic most of the time...it will not harm you but if it increases in size then it causes difficulty in tongue movements , speech and difficulty in breathing if it extends posteriorly... you can get it surgically removed...i hope my answer will help you...take care..
