What Does Having Drusens On Macula At An Young Age Indicate?
During a routine eye exam this morning, my doctor noticed what he thinks are drusens on my macula. Since I m only 22, he was confused to see these and referred me to a specialist. I see the specialist in a week, but waiting a week with an anxiety disorder is misery. Can you give me more information on what drusens at 22 could mean?

It is a kind of cholesterol deposit and it is very unlikely at this age. If your vision is not affected, no treatment is required and only close follow up is required.
