My brother was in the shower after a stressful day at work and worked 11 hour shift , he had a rush of pain in his head , that lasted about 3 hours until finally subsiding . he does not have blood pressure problems but apron checking it at the drug store later , it was 180/120 . General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there I have read through your question and understand your concern. Sudden episode of hypertension along with severe headache needs further investigation. His blood pressure has to be monitored for a week to know whether he has hypertension or it was an isolated occurence. He may also need some blood investigation s like serum electrolytes, thyroid profile, lipid profile and blood sugar levels. If he is diagnosed with hypertension he may have to be put on a regular antihypertensive. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
