Just had an abdominal ultrasound and it came back normal with heterogenous pancreas . My Dr. said it means everything is normal, just different textures and colours on the ultrasound. But I ve had discomfort on my left side and around to my back for about a 1 1/2 yrs. and keep going back to the Docs, but again, she says everything is ok. I know my body. Sometimes it cramps a bit after I eat and I feel a bit nauseaus. I m diabetic (type 1 1/2) and have been for 10 years. I m worried about my pancreas. What exactly does heterogenous pancrease mean?
welcome to Health care magic. 1.To say it is a pancreatic pathology, only heterogenous echo texture is not enough. 2.It will have adjacent fluid collection / fat are also seen. 3.At the same time there will be changes in the amylase and lipase levels in your blood picture. 4.The pain you are feeling could be some thing related to bowel pathology ( as Ultrasound he's no positive findings in your abdomen) 5.It can be a back pain which is giving radiating pain. 6.Also make sure that your underlying medical conditions are treated and within limits. Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
