I think you should meet a neurologist as soon as possible
What you just described could easily be a meningitis or meningoencephalitis

The typical symptoms of the condition are headache and fever
Sometimes even vomitting can occur

The child may need a mri brain and possibly a lumbar puncture thereafter for csf examination
The antibiotics can be started

Please get to a neurologist as soon as possible
This could be an emergency

Best of luck
