Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Icterus is the clinical term used for jaundice which is increased bilirubin levels in blood. This happens due to problems in the liver and commonly can occur with mild liver infections. It is important to know if you have had some liver infection during your travel during which there might have been water and food contamination. So basically your liver function test is mildly abnormal and you need to check with your doctor if the jaundice is improving or persisting.
