What Does Intermittent Shooting Pain In The Foot Indicate?

hi,iam a male 57 and have shooting pain like a spear going into the top of my right foot...it is not constant,but happens intermitt. and lasts about 20 to 30 seconds.the pain is a ten on 1 TO 10 SCALE.,seems to happen with more freq. todayi did not hurt it like sprain or tripped or fell down...please advise,thank you...and happy t day

You may have cord compression somehow. So get done X-ray and CT scan of the lumbar region. It will guide you for further management.
