What Does It Mean By PUS Cells-14,Epithelial Cells-12 In An Urine Analysis?

HI DR,I HAVE BURNING MICTURATION SINCE 10 DAYS CONSULTED A DOCTOR AND SHE SAID TO DO URINE ANALYSIS,THAT REPORT SHOWS PUS CELLS 14-16,RBC1-2,EPITHILIAL CELLS10-12 MUCOUS THREAD MOSERATE,BACTERIA MODERATE,CYSTALS ,CASTS,AND YEAST CELLS- NIL,PROTEIN AND GLUCOSE NEGATIVE.WHAT IS THIS REPORT SHOWS?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have high number of pus cells in urine. It suggest urinary tract infection. Epithelial cells, rbc, protein, sugar all are normal.

You should take a course of antibiotics to control infection. Levofloxacin or norfloxacin can be helpful. It is prescription based medicine so consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Drink plenty of water and go for blood sugar test to rule out diabetes.
