Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi. I had a wreck 3 month ago, back on May 26 of this yr and had compression fx of L2 vertbebra. Last month when I returned to orthopedic for follow up he said the x rays showed marked deformity in how bone grew back. What exactly does that mean for long term? I still have alot of back pain. Especially in my left hip
These changes are quite normal after a vertebral fracture or compression. You should know that our bones are continuously in remodelation (reformation) and this results in abnormalities when recovering from a bone fracture or compression. But, there is nothing to worry about, as we can not do too much about this and it will not influence too much on our future.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
