General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
I can understand your concern for the delayed period after taking I-Pill.

After using postcoital emergency contraceptive pill like I-Pill, most women get their normal period at the expected time.

Sometimes I pill can change the length of your monthly menstrual cycle, making your next period come as much as a week earlier or a week later than usual.

If it has been at least 10 days since you had unprotected sex and you have a delayed period then you can take a home pregnancy test to find out if you are pregnant. If the pregnancy test is negative, you should consult a gynecologist to rule out other causes of delayed period and to induce the bleeding.

Hope this answers your query.
