What Does Lack Of Thyroid Activity Mean?
My daughter went to see her doctor last week. The doctor just called her to tell her she has no thyroid activity. What can happen to her? She also has fibromyalgia. No energy. Stays in bed most of the day. She has 3 children, all girls. Bobby 18, Jessy 14 and Kerry 8.

Thyroid under activity means thyroid is not producing enough thyroid hormones. Thyroid hormone is essential for normal functioning of body. In under active thyroid your energy levels will be low and you feel tired, cold and constipated.
The cause of under active thyroid can be auto immune (in which your immune system is working against your thyroid) or iodine deficiency. It is an easily treatable condition with thyroid hormone replacement.
