hello thank you for trusting HCM dear lacunar infraction is caused by blojage of deep penetrating arteries to brain.it is 2-15mm.most common sites are putamen and caudate nucleus,thalamus, cerebellum etc.these are symptomatic or asymptomatic commonly seen in hypertensives,diabetic patients, smokers and alcoholic patients.avoid smoking and alcohol intake, regular exercise,eat green leafy vegetables. if symptomatic please consult your neurologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
