What Does Light Headedness After Injury Indicate?

I harshly pinched my hand between my chair and my desk when i scooted in. The finger doesn t look broken but I very suddenly felt light headed, a little dizzy, and a bit sick, also had a heart-dropping kind of sensation and anxious feelings. Does it mean anything?

All these symptoms may be due to vasovagal effect as a result of pain due to injury. Vasovagal syncope is due to the fact that body over-reacts to certain type of triggers, some times like seeing blood, pain or emotional distress etc. Vasovagal attack causes suddenly to drop pulse and BP resulting in such type of symptoms. Vasovagal attack is a harmless episode and usually does not need any treatment. The symptoms will go of its own after patient takes rest or lies down.
