Hi, I have gone through your question. Low placenta at 13 weeks
ultrasound has not much significance, as the placenta migrates upwards in the
uterine cavity as the pregnancy advances. So, a repeat ultrasound at 18-22 weeks of pregnancy will clearly give the most probable location of placenta. If it is still low down (
placenta previa), then you may need cesarean section at 37-39 weeks.
Your doctor must have prescribed dubagest and duvadilan retard for some other reason, they have no role in case of low placenta. Dubagest is
progesterone for supporting pregnancy, and duvadilan retard is usually given if someone complains of repeated lower
abdominal pain in pregnancy. These medications are safe except for minor side-effects like headache, nausea, increased pulse rate.
I would suggest you to check with you doctor the reason for prescribing these medications and then get back to us for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
