What Does Lower Abdominal Pain On The Right Side Indicate?
Hi Day before yesterday , I was suffering from acute pain in my right side of below abdomen. I went to hospital they gave me some pain killer and prescribed me ultrasound to do. In ultrasound report ,they found 6.6 mm stone in right UVJ. They are telling to operate , is there any other useful method
Hi, sorry to know about it. 6.6 mm stone is marginally larger. Usually less than 5 mm stone pass spontaneously with urine. There are 70% chances to pass 6 mm stone with urine using medications like alpha blockers. However if the pain doesn't reduce and the stone does not pass, treatment is to undergo ureteroscopic removal of stone which is a simple procedure, or Lithotripsy break up of stone or laser procedure. Please drink plenty of oral fluids. Get well soon.
