Hey there i have a small spot like lump on my right cheekbone just bellow my eye it is pretty painful. I tried to pop it because i thought it was a spot and now it has just gotten worse i was wondering if it is something i should worry about or can treat myself. Thankyou
Yes, it is something you should worry about. You should go to see your doctor preferably surgeon. He would take a short history like does it is present from start or something new? Does it hurt? Does it grows? Because we have different types of swelling at cheeks most commonly basal cell carcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma, dermoid cyst or sebaceous cyst. For proper diagnosis it will need examination and investigation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shahid Akbar, General & Family Physician
