What Does Lymphoproliferative Disorder In Report Suggest?
My father age 72 weight 66kg and height 5feet 6 inches. he is diabetic. Yesterday he was feeling dizziness and doctor advised him blood test. his reports are Hemoglobin 14.20, Red cell count 4.60, Total eucocytes count 11.80, platelet count 181, Morphology- Normocytic normochromic anisocytosis + smudge cells. Doctors comments on report: Lymphoproliferatvie disorder, suggests flow cytometry. Kindly advise Regards Nasir

Hi Lymphoproliferative disorder means malignancy of lymphocytes/ cells of lymphoid origin like lymphomas. In your father's case probably the presence of smudge cells have prompted his consultant to look into the cause. However since His counts are slightly higher than the normal range its important to rule out malignancy. Hope this helps. Regards
