Hi,

Noted your history of incessant severe coughing for more than a month, prescribed antibiotic, not effective it seems, landed in hospital ER, CT scan of chest shows the following: mass in left lower lung size of a nickel, biopsy awaited, swelling over ankles and weakness coughing continues and legs hurting.
The CT scan is indicative of a mass that is cancer has to be ruled out hence the biopsy is a must.
Other causes can be small lung abscess, localized pneumonia and so on.
The report that you have posted is not complete for me to comment more on it.
Infection, anemia, hypoproteinemia, heart ailment can cause swelling on ankles and severe weakness.
I am sure they will find find out the cause for having a proper management as soon as possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
