What Does Mild Diffuse Bulge In MRI Report Suggest?
Dear Sir,I have given below the extracts from MRI report.MR Findings reveal Spondylotic and disc degenerative disease with 1. Mild diffuse disc bulge at L3-L4 level2. Diffuse disc bulge with moderate broad based posterior prostrusion and posterior annular tear at L4-L5 level. Please advice, what treatment would work on above problem. Thanks Arvinder
1.There is a disc between the vertebral bodies helps as a shock absorber effect, the disc contains maximum percentage of water, due to degenerative changes when the water content / hydration is lost the disc slips / bulges. 2.At the level of L3-4 there is diffuse disc bulge. 3.Annular tear with protrusion noted at the level of L4-5 ( peripheral part of the disc). 4.Treatment in this case will be exercises for back initially, followed by physiotherapy. 5.Finally if not responsive the treatment of choice will be interventional / operative treatment.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
