I am 23 and have had cervical ectropy for two years. It was diagnosed by a gynaecologist who offered laser treatment but said she didn't think it was necessary at that time. The smear test was okay then. During the last smear test the nurse said the area was looking raw and I may need laser so arranged for an appointment at the colposcopy clinic. In the meantime the smear has come back showing mild dyskaryosis. Are they linked or do I have two different conditions? Also I am going to Australia 3 days after the colposcopy appointment should I change it?
