What Does Mild Enlargement Of Cardiac Silhouette Mean In Chest X-ray?
The chest xray showed some mild vascular congestion and mild enlargement of the cardiac size. IMPRESSION: Mild enlargement of the cardiac silhouette and mild pulmonary venous engorgement without frank pulmonary edema. What does this mean? Medication prescribes: diuretic & potassium.

Chest X-ray findings suggests early features of congestive heart failure.
It is evident by mild vascular congestion in lungs and mildly engorged pulmonary veins.
Cardiac size is also mildly enlarged.
This condition need clinical correlation and further investigations.
Patient may need ECHO to assess function of heart.
Doctors has prescribed right medicines.Diuretics will clear excess fluid from lungs.
There are no signs of frank pulmonary edema(fluid in interstitium of lungs).
