Hi I m in a lot of pain I have been for my scan which has showed up I have a abnormality on my kidney I have just received a letter off my doctor which say this prominent right renal pelvis and mild pelvic calyceal dilatation what does it mean Thank Susan
Hi This is basically dilation of the upper urinary drainage system. It is caused by obstruction of free flow of urine from the kidneys. So there must be some sort of obstruction in your urinary tract that is holding back the urine causing increased pressure backwards and hence causing the pain. Hope I have answered your question. Kindly rate it.
