What Does Mild Pelvictasia In The Ultrasound Report Suggest?

I just had my ultrasound, the impressions are: mild pelvictasia, right kidney, thickened urinary bladder wall and significant post-void urine as described (suggestive of cystitis), unremarkable left kidney.Doc, how are these impressions translate do us patients? What are the proper diet and cure? Will this lead to kidney malfunction?Please help . . . May

Thanks for your question
Well by the look of your report you seem to have cystitis,mild pelvictasia is an incidental finding.Cystitis ,you have to undergo a culture to check which antibiotic will be sensitive to treat you.Drinking lots of water,maintaining personal hygiene along with a course of antibiotics will help.Also if you are frequently getting cystitis,then futher evaluation would be required,as it can cause reflux and kidney damage.
