What Does Mild Stranding Of The Fat With Small Lymph Nodes Around The Rectosigmoid Junction In A CT Scan Report Suggest?

My CT report of my colon showed Mild stranding of the fat with small lymph nodes, not significant in size around the rectosigmoid junction. This is a non-specific thing. I am 66-years old and have had ulcerative colitis since 1976. Should I be concerned?

Hello,

Ulcerative colitis may can cause lymph node enlargement in case of infection. In few patients ulcerative colitis may lead to malignancy and lymph node enlargement. Otherwise normal variant. please consult your gastroentrologist he will examine for the cause and treat you accordingly.
