What Does Mildly Prominent Cardiomediatinal Silhouette, Low Inspiratory Volumes Mean?
In auto accident had cat scan with and without cat scan showed cardiomediatinal silhouette is mildly prominent, There are low inspiratory volumes. No pleural effusion, focal oacity or phenumothoras. TreRemaing soft tissues and osseious structures are unremarkable. What does all this mean?
Your report can be considered as normal. Mildly prominent cardiomediastinal silhouette(cardiac and mediastinal shadows in X-rays) may be due to partial expiratory phase of the patient.Ideally it should be assessed in full inspiration. Rest of the findings are normal like there is no pleural effusion,no pneumothorax. Soft tissues and bony structures are also normal. Hope i have answered your query.
