What Does Motility Of 70% And Count Of 30 Ml In A Semen Analysis Indicate ?
hi dr,my husband recently semen analysis report is volume 2.0ml last coitus 10days color gryish whitesh consistency thick sperm count.......30ml active motile........70% slugish motile.....50% none motile........10% we hve been trying to conceive from 2 years but always the result is negative...i need ur help plz?
I have gone through your query. But there must be some mistake while typing the values. you hav mentioned that Active motility in 70% and non motile as 10%. In that case sluggish motility must be seen in 20%. But you have mentioned it as 50%.
According to WHO guidelines a greater 50% motility is normal. As your husband has 70% it is normal. coming to other parameters all are with in normal range.
Let me tell you something. The causes of infertility are Male factors ( 33%), Female factors (33%) and mixed (33%).
You too need to get tested. In case if your hormone profile is normal and there are no anatomical defects, you need to undergo cervical mucus studies. In some people some inhibitory substances ( anti sperm Antibodies) might be present in cervical mucus.
Involving in coitus ( having sex) at the right time (during Fertile period) is also essential. Assuming that your periods are normal and you have a 30 day cycle, you might be ovulating on 16th or 17th day of your cycle ( ovulation occurs14 days before your periods start). Try meeting from 11th day to 20th day of cycle for improved chances of fertilization.
As per the Reports of Semen Analysis Of your Husband They are perfectly Normal & Healthy so now the second question arises is you , Have you done complete workup regarding your fertility
See there are number of causes for female infertility they are as follows :
1. Damage to fallopian tubes.
2. Hormonal causes.
3. Cervical causes.
4. Unexplained infertility.
So my advice is first go visit and OBS/GYN doctor and get a complete workup of yourself done to rule out these causes .
Wishing you all the best .
