Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello,

A mucus thread found in a urine sample is NOT abnormal. Mucus forms on the inside lining of the bladder and comes out of the bladder when a person urinates.

What did Dr. Serwer say about your infant son's eye infection? Is your son being treated with any medicine?

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Arnold Zedd, Pediatrician
