Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m a 56 year-old female in generally good health. For the past ten days or so I ve noticed clumps of mucus in my stool. I do not have any bloating, abdominal pain, tenderness. Sometimes my stool is loose but I attribute that to too much coffee at times. I don t smoke or do drugs. I am a social drinker. I try to eat a balanced diet but admit I ve been slacking on the veggies lately. I crave sugar and simple carbs. I don t eat as much as I could because too much sugar usually causes a vaginal infection. Thank you for your help.
