Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I m a white male, age 54 .... 183cm ... 110 kg. Recently took part in an Ontario provincial health study. My blood results were: Hemoglobin 147 White blood cell count 6.5 Platelet count 172 Glycosylated Hemoglobin (HbA1c) 5.3 Trouble is: no one told me what all these numbers mean :( Best, Walter
After seeing your results the only thing I can say that every test seems to be normal. Your hemoglobin, WBS, platelets are normal and as your HbA1c is 5.3, you are not diabetic, so be happy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
