What Does My CT Scan Indicating Liver Mass Mean While Having Abdominal Pain?

My CT Scan revealed the following: There was a subtle mass-like area of thickening in the right lobe of the liver measuring 25 x 27 x 20 mm. This was seen on an MRI in 2019 and appears slightly larger . I ve been having sporadic dull pains in my lower abdomen. What do these results mean?

Hello,

Your imaging test report may be indicative of hepatitis, cirrhosis, or fatty infiltration. Quit alcohol intake, take boiled water and boiled food, take food that is good for the liver. Avoid oily, spicy food, packaged and processed food. Take digestives and PPIs, to get relief from abdominal pain. Certain biliary diseases like gall stones, cholecystitis, or hepatocellular carcinoma could lead to such indicators.

Get an ultrasonography done to detect gall stone, etc. You will be accordingly treated. In the meantime, take liver tonics and homemade balanced food that is boiled to help repair liver cells. Get clinically examined and evaluated by a GP. Get treated at the earliest. Your treatment will depend on the pathology diagnosed.

Treatment options for large cysts include drainage, surgery, or medications. Complications from liver cysts are uncommon but can include liver failure, liver cancer, hemorrhagic rupture, and other serious conditions.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
