Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 42 years old. my CT scan shows that i have MILD HEPATOMEGALY WITH DIFFUSE DECREASE IN ATTENUATION OF LIVER { FATTY INFILTRATION [grade 1]}. I never have consumed alcohol, but i am a diabetic patient from 2006.May i know what does this disease actually mean and how i can get cured or treated sir?
Hi there, Thanks for using HCM. As per your CT scan report, you are having fatty liver disease. This could be probably be due to the diabetes you suffer from. Other causes include alcohol intake (which you never consume), high cholesterol and obesity. Control of blood glucose would help to reverse it. You need to reduce weight if you are obese and check your cholesterol levels. Also get a liver function test done to see if it is just a simple fatty liver or fatty liver with inflammation.
I hope that answers your query. Regards.
