Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently had a CT scan with contrast of my abdomen and pelvic region. The notes state There is mild haziness in the mesentery to the left side the midline I the upper and mid abdomen. There are small sub-5 mm lymph nodes in the mesentery at this site. From my research I have found that 5mm lymph nodes are normal size for the mesentery. I m trying to figure out why my doctor thinks I have cancer. I was struck by a large pickup truck while out walking my dog. The bumper hit me first from the bottom of my rib cage to the top of my hip bone. I have been in pain since it happened last September.
Hi. If there is some haziness its usually a sign of inflammation. We do have lumph nodes in the mesentery but if they are readily visible or more enlarged than usual it can be die to an infectious cause or cancerous reaction. Have yourself worked up to be on the safe side
