What Does My CT Scan Result Indicate?

HI I just had a CT Scan and so far everythings normal. Note is made of a small round splenunculum adjacent to the tail of the pancreas measuring about 11 mm in diameter. Do you thin it will may be a concern t become cancerous? Is surgery necessary for this finding? I also just have my cholesystectomy about 6 weeks ago? Many thanks Angie

Hello.
Thank you for contacting HCM.

Spleneculum is basically accessory spleenic tissue which is a variant of normal anatomy. It does not represent any kind of tumor nor does it need any surgery.
There is no need for concern in this matter.

I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns.
Wishing you good health.
